A word from Hexoskin for World Alzheimer Day

September 21, 2017

This September 21st, we would like to highlight World Alzheimer Day. Alzheimer is the most common form of dementia affecting people worldwide.

Hexoskin is working more and more on detecting cognitive conditions, as we can see in several studies (Sun et al., Webster et al., TELUQ, etc.). In fact, our system provides cardiac and respiratory functions simultaneously, as well as activity with a 3-axis accelerometer. For example, we are working with the Montreal TELUQ team that has developed an application for fall detection with Hexoskin. The advantage is being able to get the vital functions to determine the condition of the patient following a fall. For more details, visit our research section.
