Hexoskin and the athlete who stopped breathing

Canadian national athlete discovers surprising fact and is able to boost performance, thanks to Hexoskin.

The Canadian athlete, a member of the national alpine snowboard team, was taking part in the Canadian championships. At a demonstration the week prior, his coaches had been impressed with Hexoskin’s ability to provide easy access to accurate and repeatable data, and had invited the Hexoskin team to measure him live.

He and his coach were curious about what Hexoskin would show them. What could they possibly learn that would be of any use to them? After all, the athlete was on top of his form. What he needed to improve was known. But they were curious anyway.

Smart shirt and open-data device for sports performance tracking receive “thumbs up” from Apple

MONTREAL— January 28th, 2013— Carré Technologies, inventors of Hexoskin™, today announced it has obtained MFi (made for iPhone/iPad/iPod) certification for its Hexoskin line of products. The Hexoskin smart device and intelligent garments have been designed to connect specifically to iPod, iPhone, and iPad, and are now certified to meet Apple performance standards.

“Carré is proud to announce its Hexoskin wearable sensors are now officially compatible with iOS devices. This certification means we can now start offering Hexoskin garments, device and software for iPhone, iPod, and iPad users”, said Pierre-Alexandre Fournier, co-founder and CEO of Carré Technologies. Open-Data Device This certification allows third party developers to submit Hexoskin-compatible apps to the App Store. These apps will use real-time data from Hexoskin for new fitness, health, and wellness applications.
