Hexoskin Selected for the Inaugural Mayo Clinic and ASU MedTech Accelerator

April 24, 2019

Our team is excited to announce that Hexoskin is one of only six medical technology companies selected by the Mayo Clinic and Arizona State University (ASU) for its inaugural MedTech Accelerator cohort. The accelerator, which is part of the Mayo Clinic Arizona State University Alliance for Health Care, was designed specifically for medical device and health care technology companies looking to partner with Mayo Clinic and ASU.

"The inaugural cohort of the program consists of six extremely dynamic startups with product offerings we feel are poised to improve patient care and outcomes through their new innovations," says Steven Lester, M.D., a Mayo Clinic cardiologist and medical director of the accelerator. Dr. Lester, professor of Medicine, is also associate medical director of Mayo Clinic's Department of Business Development.

"At Hexoskin we see a great fit between our vision for at-home patient monitoring, post-acute care, and chronic disease management and Mayo Clinic's mission to put the best interest of the patient first." says Pierre-Alexandre Fournier, MScA, Co-founder and CEO of Hexoskin.

Hexoskin provides a seamless integration of its smart shirts for vital signs monitoring with hospitals’ existing processes to improve upon the patient experience. The accelerator program gives Hexoskin the opportunity to collaborate with the country’s most distinguished medical mentors and researchers and develop new clinical opportunities for Hexoskin technology.
